Frankfurt Conference on Financial Market Policy

A robust and resilient financial system is a necessary condition for a healthy economy. The comprehensive reform of the regulation and supervision of financial institutions therefore remains high on the agenda of many international fora (G20, FSB, BIS, etc.). An appropriate policy framework for financial markets is essential. The challenge is to define a legislative and supervisory framework, which will strengthen financial markets' capacity to serve a useful purpose.

The annual Frankfurt Conference on Financial Market Policy brings together policymakers, academics as well as industry participants to foster an open debate on the current regulatory agenda. The conference series contributes to a general public’s capacity to evaluate arguments and appraise policy initiatives.
